MSU Health Care is excited to announce the consolidation of our two family medicine offices into a new space. Beginning July 1, 2020, MSU Health Care Family Medicine will be located on the second floor of the Clinical Center, located at 804 Service Road, A225, East Lansing, MI, across from the Lab and X-ray Suite. This new location will be a combination of the two family medicine primary care offices (Family Health Center and Family Medicine). With the joining of these clinics, MSU Health Care Family Medicine will be a leader in innovative family medicine practices, research and instruction.

The change offers these benefits:

  • With more providers in our group, we may have more access to same day visits and after-hours availability.
  • As your family medicine providers, maternity, child, adult, geriatric, preventive, and chronic care, as well as diabetes education and immigration physicals are conveniently located within one location. Coordinating your care within our group and MSU Health Care, as a whole, will become easier for you.
  • Our office leverages the diverse experiences and education strategies of the best evidence-based medicine from the College of Human Medicine, College of Nursing and College of Osteopathic Medicine.

“Our goal is to work together to be more available to take even better care of our patients,” said David T Walsworth, MD, FAAFP, Associate Chair for Clinical Affairs. “By combining our unique services, including maternity care, manipulative medicine, and immigration physicals, with our preventive and chronic condition care for people of all ages, we hope to offer our patients an even more complete primary care medical home.”

"As physicians within the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, we look forward to working alongside the nurse practitioners from the College of Nursing and the physicians from the College of Human Medicine,” said Rosemarie Tolson, DO, Clinical Director of MSU Family Medicine. “It is exciting to think about the innovations in complete patient care that will come from this new team."

MSU Health Care Family Medicine will begin seeing patients at its new location on Monday, July 6, 2020. To schedule an appointment, patients should contact the office at 517-353-2562, or send an appointment request through our portal. If patients do not have a portal account, they can sign up by visiting www.mymsuhealth.hc.msu.edu and follow the on-screen instruction “Don’t have an account?” under “Sign Into Your Portal Account”.

Current patients will be able to continue seeing their existing provider along with expanded choices for unplanned and urgent visits. All providers will continue to participate with the same existing insurance plans. Hours of operation will also remain Monday through Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Current patients can contact their current clinic until June 30, or the new clinic at the information listed below after July 6 or visit www.healthteam.msu.edu.
